Golden West will match up against Long Beach City College for their second time this season as the Rustlers are slated to host the Central Championship Bowl Game at LeBard Stadium on Saturday, November 19th at 6:00pm.
Golden West wanted no part of “Sophomore Night,” no part of Domenic Betts’ record-breaking performance, and absolutely no part in surrendering the treasured Victory Bell it claimed in the “West Coast Showdown” last year.
Golden West (1-1, 3-4) drops their first conference game of the 2011 Season to the Tigers, 13-44. Riverside City College (2-0, 7-0) continues to stomp their opponents as they set their quest on an undefeated season.
Golden West (3-3, 1-0) racked up 422 yards of total offense to complement its fourth-ranked defense in a 30-17 victory over the Dons at Orange Coast College.
The Fullerton College football squad improved to 4-0 on the season on Saturday night against a very skilled Golden West team (2-2) outlasting the Rustlers 29-26.
The Rustlers did not waste any time getting the ball into the end zone on their very first possession on a 9-yard pass to WR Jared Cohen from QB Ray Huizar.
Unbeaten El Camino scored 14 consecutive points in the final quarter and a half to erase a double-digit deficit and came away with a 24-21 victory at Orange Coast College.
