SANTA ANA- Golden West (3-0-3, 0-0-1) ties Santa Ana (3-0-2, 0-0-1) 2-2 to open Orange Empire Conference play.
The Dons were on the attack offensively early and often in the first half as they recorded nine shots on goal in the conference home opener. In the 25th minute however, the Rustlers scored the first goal with a header from Mark Hernandez assisted by Erick Gomez to lead at the half at 1-0.
Santa Ana got on the board in the 60th minute to tie the match at 1-1. Then in the 70th minute the Dons tapped in a goal to take the lead at 2-1. The Rustlers stayed poised and tighten up on defense to allow the offense to score a game tying goal in extra time to end the game at 2-2.
