Men's Swimming: Finishes Second in Championships; Dalija Earns MVP

Costa Mesa, Calif. - In a short six week season the men's swimming program made the most of their time in the pool with a second place finish in the Orange Empire Conference swim and dive championships held at Orange Coast College. 

Sophomore Marcus Dalija, an Edison High School graduate, achieved top honors at the OEC Swimming Championships. The shorten six week season did not stop him from season best swims in three individual events placing while placing in the top six of each event he swam. This in includies a second place finish in the 200 IM, 100 Breaststroke, and a sixth place finish in the 100 Butterfly. All those events and finished culminated in him earning the individual high point total and the most valuable swimmer award. Marcus is undecided on where to transfer yet but has narrowed it down either West Coast University or Loma Linda University to study nursing and earn his BSN.
