M Swim: Finishes Fifth in the Final Day of the CCCAA State Championships

Los Angeles, Calif. - The Rustlers finished the 2022 CCCAA swimming and dive championships in fifth place. 

Leading the way was Srbolijib Filipovic coming off his first place finish in the 100 Breaststroke yesterday which set a new team record. He was touched out in the 200 Breaststroke to finish second in a mark of 2:02.52.

Nico D'Angelo continued to earn all-state honors with his eighth place finish in the 200 Butterfly. Additional top 16 finishes included Felipe Ferrreira (10th place) in the 100 Freestyle, Kyle Sary's (12th place) in the 100 Freestyle,  Alec Johnson (14th place) in the 200 Butterfly, and Gen Fujita's (13th place) in the 1650 Freestyle.  In the last event of the meet, the 400 free relay of squad of Filipovic, Sary, Ferreira, and Eamon Hennessey finished third to cap off the Rustlers state championships.

FINAL STANDINGS: 1. Sierra 573, 2. Orange Coast 449, 3. Cuesta 340, 4. American River 268, 5. Golden West 241, 6. Diablo Valey 238, 7. Palomar 195, 8. Sequoias 161.5, 9. West Valley 144, 10. Mt. San Antonio 142.
