Henderson Named Men's Cross Country/Track & Field Head Coach

Huntington Beach, Calif. - Monique Henderson has been named the head coach of Golden West's men's cross country and Track & Field programs, Danny Johnson, Athletic Director announced. 

Henderson arrived to Huntington Beach back in the fall of 2015 when she was hired as the women's cross country and track & field head coach. She started her collegiate coaching career with San Diego Mesa College, serving as an assistant before taking over the head coaching duties at Golden West College.

Since her arrival, Henderson has guided multiple athletes to the CCCAA state championships most notably a fifth place finish from former Rustler Raena Ramirez in the javelin in 2016. A sprinter at heart, she looks forward to working hard and bringing some more sprinters to championships in seasons to come.
