The Golden West College Rustlers knocked off Western State Conference champion L A Pierce College in Thursday's first semifinal match of the 2013 CCCAA Men's Volleyball State Championship at Long Beach City College.

Irvine Valley's men's volleyball team couldn’t stop the hottest team in the Pacific Coast Conference Friday night at home. Golden West stayed unbeaten in conference play with a 25-15, 23-25, 25-18, 26-24 victory over the Lasers.
Rustler volleyball defeated the Knights in a 3-1 match set. Golden West took the first two set, but gave up the third to San Diego City College. The Rustlers took back control in the fourth set to finish the match in time for dinner.
