M Water Polo: Stings the Hornets in Blowout Win

Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West men's water polo dominated in the pool from the onset as they stung the Fullerton College Hornets 22-4 in Orange Empire action. 

The Rustlers came out firing in the first quarter as they took a commanding 6-0 lead. John MacDonald and Ryan Lantz each accounted for a pair of goals while Andrew Higginson and Gen Fujita chipped in a goal in the first. The second quarter was more of the same as the Rustlers posted another six goals to have a insurmountable 12-1 advantage at halftime. 

The second half was more of the same as the offense kept firing to the back of net. Freshman Grady Cullen netted his fourth goal of the season in the fourth quarter to build on the lead 18-3. With this win, Golden West improves to 10-1 overall and 2-0 in OEC play with a five match winning streak. 

Golden West will travel to Orange Coast College this Friday October 8th to take on Grossmont in game one of the RCC tournament at 10:30am.
