Men's Water Polo: Eight Rustlers are Transferring on to the Next Level

Huntington Beach, Calif. – An impressive eight men's water polo student-athletes are transferring to four-year Colleges and Universities head coach Scott Taylor has announced.

A trio of Rustlers will be furthering their academics and athleticism to the University of California, San Diego in the fall. Felipe Ferriera, Augi Maachi, and Eamon Hennessy have committed and are excited for their journey to continue. Ferreira and Macchi were selected to the All-State team for their outstanding play while guiding Golden West to their sixth consecutive CCCAA title. While Hennessey was named Co-most valuable player along with teammate Ferreira in the Orange Empire Conference as they helped claim the programs 33rd consecutive Orange Empire Conference championship.

Stan De Mey has committed to Concordia University of Irvine after being selected to the All- OEC first team in his sophomore season.

Srboljub Filipovic has committed to the University of Pacific after completing his sophomore season with 29 goals scored and none bigger than an overtime goal in the 3C2A state championship game to seal the victory.

The 3C2A championships most valuable player, goalkeeper Garrett Henderson and All-OEC honorable mention Nico Dangelo are committed to Cal State Fullerton.

Chase Nearn who played in 28 games while scoring 16 goals with the Rustlers will transfer to the University of Arizona to pursue his bachelor's degree.
