W Basketball: Stays Unbeaten with Another Blowout Win

Huntington Beach, Calif. - The early press knocked Palo Verde out of rhythm early as Golden West cruised to a 109-45 victory at home to extend their win streak to four to start the season. 

The tenacious full court press of the Rustlers controlled the pace of the game as they forced 40 turnovers and tallied 35 steals in their blowout win Wednesday night. Meghan McIntyre led the charge with 12 steals and shooting 11 of 22 from the floor for 25 points. Ashley Gonzalez tallied a season high 16 points on 7 of 11 shooting including two three pointers. Makaia Smith led the Rustlers with 12 rebounds while recording six steals. 

With the win, Golden West improved to 4-0 on the season before they head north to play in the Napa Valley Storm Surge Tournament December 3-5. They open the tournament Friday, December 3rd against Siskiyous College at 8pm.
