Aliso Viejo, Calif. - The Golden West women started the 2016 season with a strong showing at the Soka University invitational.
Freshmen Tiona Jones placed third overall in the high jump (5'0) and long jump (16'4") among competitors from 4-year universities. She and freshmen Megan Finney also tied for a third place finish in their section of the women's 60m.
Next, the teams will travel to Riverside for their first Orange Empire Conference meet, where they will compete with Santa Ana and host RCC.
