Sophomore Raena Ramirez finished fifth in the women’s javelin at State Championships

San Diego, CA – At the California State Championships, sophomore Raena Ramirez finished fifth in the women's javelin with a throw of 122'.  The distance was over two meters further than last year's mark.  Raena earned the title of State All-American and also State Academic First Team for her exceptional grades.  Freshman Tiona Jones tied for 8th place in the women's high jump by clearing 5'.5".
