Aliso Viejo, Calif. - Golden West opened the season with impressive performances at the Soka University invite on Saturday, February 19.
Competing against 4-year universities, Freshman Emily Nguyen placed third in the women's long jump with a leap of 4.93m and in the women's 200m, freshman Amara Muhammad ran a time of 26.54 to finish fourth.
The Rustlers are back in action on Friday, February 25 in the Orange Empire Conference Invite #1 at Riverside City College.
