The Golden West College women's volleyball team swept Long Beach City College in three straight sets 25-15, 25-9, and 26-24.
With the win, the Rustlers improve to 5-3 and maintained their No. 13 ranking in the state.
There wasn't much resistance from the Vikings as Golden West jumped out early in the first 2 sets, however they found themselves down in the 3rd set 11-20 before they made their surge and ended up scoring the last four points to win the set 26-24.
Sophomore setter Klaire Blasco posted 35 assist while Cassie Pugh had 3 blocks and Bethanee Boggs added 9 kills for the Rustler win.
Golden West travels to Riverside (Friday, Sept 30) to begin Orange Empire Conference play with a 6:00pm start.
