Huntington Beach, Calif. - For the second consecutive season the Golden West College women's water polo teams claims third place in the Orange Empire Conference Championships.
The Rustlers earned a 5-4 tightly contested match against Cypress College Saturday morning to earn the third place finish. Golden West has beaten Cypress both times they have faced off this season, winning 17-10 back in September.
They opened the championships with a 10-3 loss to the eventual back to back conference champs Fullerton College on Friday afternoon.
Golden West has earned the sixth seed in this weekend's SoCal regional championships at Riverside City College. They will faceoff against the 11th seeded Cypress College Chargers at 3:15pm on Thursday, November 14th.
