Beach Vball: Edges Rio Hondo but Falls to El Camino

Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West beach volleyball team hosted a tri-match and split on the day going 1-1. The Rustler's got the day started with a tough win against Rio Hondo 3-2, but followed it up with a 3-2 loss to El Camino College.

Rio Hondo Match Results: Won 3-2

Number 1 pairs Ashleigh Atsaros and Andrea Gonzalez (GWC) beat Velasco/Mader (RHondo) 21-16, 21-15.

Number 2 pairs Jasmine Gonzales and Akimi Fujikura (GWC) beat Harding/Rosas (RHondo) 21-15, 21-19.

Number 3 pairs Cherene Uale and Erica Cantley (GWC) lost to Magallon/Chavez (RHondo) 17-21, 21-18, 11-15.

Number 4 pairs Keilani Pearson and Melissa Martinez (GWC) lost Garcia/Garcia (RHondo) 21-14, 18-21, 11-15.

Number 5 pairs Eden VaWaardenburg and Holly Hennessy (GWC) beat Campos/Ponce (RHondo) 14-21, 23-21, 15-13.

El Camino Match Results: Lost 3-2
