Huntington Beach, Calif. - The Rustlers were the first to get on the scoreboard in their face off with Victor Valley, but failed to edge out the Rams in a 3-7 loss.  On Tuesday, Golden West (2-2)  swept LA Valley in a 9-0 win on the road, but the Rustlers are stilling looking for a win on home turf. 

Frank Califano put the Rustlers on the board with an unearned run in the bottom of the first. Victor Valley responded with 2 runs of their own in the top of the second, putting the score at 1-2. 

The third and fourth inning would prove scoreless, and in the top of the fifth, Victor Valley had four players cross home plate putting the Rustlers behind by 5. The bottom of the fifth, Califano scored again along with Daniel Dewolf. The 2 run rally was not enough to catch up with the Rams as they scored once more in the top of the eighth. 

NEXT: The men look to maintain their road win streak as they travel to Reedley College on Friday, February 8th for a 5:00 pm game time.
