Huntington Beach, Calif. - The Golden West Rustlers took down LA Harbor in a 18-5 victory at Fred Hoover Field on Tuesday afternoon.
The Rustlers (5-1) came out hot in the bottom of the 1st scoring 4 runs to take a 4-0 lead. Golden West struggled on the mound with consistency hitting a slew of LA Harbor batters to keep the game close till the 6th inning when the offense found the gaps in LA Harbor's defense. GWC scored multiple runs in the 6th, 7th, and exploded in the 8th inning to really put a stamp on the 5th win of the season. The Rustler offense came ready to play tallying 18 runs on 19 hits.
Batting for Golden West, 2nd baseman Dillon Pershinger and 1st base Cody Marshall racked up 3 RBI each, and Gianni Castillo who had a 3-for-2 day at the plate with two RBI.
