Baseball Brings In Another Win
Huntington Beach, Calif. – After an hour long rain delay with jousting and dance-offs for entertainment, the Golden West College Rustlers (17-9, 6-5) and the Riverside City College Tigers (15-11, 3-8) finally got to pull the tarp off the infield and play ball.
 
Sophomore pitcher Tyler Tungate (5-1) threw his second complete game win in a row giving up 4 hits, 1 unearned run, walking none, and striking out 7 Tigers.
 
The Rustler offense got going in the 2nd inning with a John Shattles (1 for 3, 1 run scored, 1 RBI) RBI double that scored Daniel Maguire (1 for 4, 1 run scored.) Tyler Depreta (1 for 4, 1 run scored, 1 RBI) followed next with an RBI single that scored Shattles from second base. Dillon Persinger (2 for 3, 1 run scored, 2 RBI) finished off the scoring in the 2nd  inning with a 2 RBI single to right field to extend the lead to 4-0.
 
The Rustlers added to the lead in the 4th inning when Michael Fuchs (1 for 4, 1 RBI) singled to left field scoring Persinger from third base upping the score to 5-0.
 
NEXT: The Rustlers travel to Riverside City College April 8 for a 2pm first pitch.
