Baseball Set to Host Super Regionals

Huntington Beach, Calif. – The No. 3 seeded Golden West College Rustlers (25-13, 12-9) are set to host OEC conference foe and the No. 18 seeded Riverside City College Tigers (24-16, 9-12) in the best of three Southern California Baseball Super Regional Series. 

The Tigers are coming to Huntington Beach after beating the No. 1 seeded Saddleback College Gauchos 2 games to 1 in a best of three series in the first round of playoffs. They upset the Gauchos in game one 5-3, lost game two 7-5, and won the series with a convincing 14-4 game three victory.

Golden West swept the No. 14 seeded Rio Hondo College Roadrunners with a 6-5 walk-off win in game one and a 6-1 win in game two. The Rustlers are now the highest seed left in the Southern California Bracket and earned home field advantage till the State Championships. 

Tickets to the California Community College Athletic Association postseason event cost $12 for general admission and $8 for students/faculty/staff/senior citizens (60+)/children(12 under). Cash Only Please. If you would like a tournament pass, they will be available for purchase at the gate - $20 for the adult pass, $14 for student/faculty/staff/senior citizens/children.

Pass is only good for second round of playoffs vs. Riverside City Community College.
