Huntington Beach, Calif. - Sophomore Dillon Persinger was the drafted in the 17^th round, No.521, to the LA Dodgers. He played second base for Golden West during his two year standout career with the Rustlers. In 2016 Persinger was named the Orange Empire Conference Player of the Year, Southern CA Player of the Year, and was on the ABCA/PAD All-American 1^st team. He led the CCCAA in doubles (20) and on-base percentage (.523) and was third in batting average (.417) while playing in one of the more competitive conferences in the state. Persinger helped to lead his team to the state championship game where they fell to Santa Rosa.
