Baseball: Offense Explodes; Ruggeroli Strikes out Eight in Big Win

Huntington Beach, Calif. -Golden West baseball hosted the Bakersfield College Renegades on Friday afternoon for the second game of the series. The Rustlers smoked the Renegades by a score of 15-4, improving to a record of 6-7 on the year.

Rustlers starting pitcher Bryce Ruggeroli had a solid outing, earning the win in Friday's victory. He pitched six innings giving up only four hits, one walk and one earned run while striking out eight as the Rustler offense scored 15 runs on 19 hits. Rustlers Luke Chung (3), Justin Simpson(2) and Enrique Bennett(2) led the team in RBI's. The Rustlers were too much for the Renegades as their offense was firing on all cylinders and the pitching wouldn't let up.

Next: The Rustlers host Bakersfield College in the final game of the series Saturday, February 15th at 1:00.
