Baseball: Completes Series Sweep with Another Blowout Win

Huntington Beach, Calif. - The Rustler baseball team hosted Bakersfield College for the third straight day to close out the series. The Rustlers looked to win the game and complete the series sweep.

Golden West wasted no time in this one, as they scored seven runs in the bottom of the first inning off six hits and an error. Giving starting pitcher Steven Salazar a comfortable lead to work with. Salazar would pitch five innings allowing four earned runs before the Rustlers would staff the next four innings en route to only allowing only one run in relief.

The Rustler offense put up eight more runs after the first inning, insuring their win 15-5. The offensive attack was led by Logan Gallina and Ely Stuart who each had two RBI's, but six other Rustlers also recorded an RBI. With the win the Rustlers get back to .500 with a record of 7-7.

Next: The Rustlers will have short break before traveling to Glendale College Friday, February 21st at 2:00.
