Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West hosted Orange Coast Saturday afternoon in the deciding game of their conference opening series. The Rustlers defeated the Pirates 12-8, improving to 10-10 on the season and 2-1 in conference.
Golden West's offense carried the team again as they scored 12 runs defeating the pirates 12-8. It was a complete team win as 9 different Rustlers recorded an RBI, led by Noah Amenta who had four. Pitcher Nick Merkin was credited with the win in his three-inning relief effort as Caleb Turner was credited with a save.
Next: The Rustlers travel to Fullerton College to take on the Hornets Monday March 9th.
