Baseball: Five More Rustlers Make Their Commitment to the Next Level

Huntington Beach, Calif. - Five more members of the 2020 baseball squad make their commitments to the next level.

Seth Nelson, a 2019 second-team Rawlings all-region and first-team all-Orange Empire Conference designated hitter signed his letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic achievements at San Jose State in Northern California. He was batting .333 with seven doubles, four triples, and four homeruns with 20 RBI's in the 2020 campaign.

Bryce Ruggeroli, the Rustlers number one arm, threw a team-high 36 innings. He went 3-1 with a 2.25 earned run average in seven starts. He racked up 41 strikeouts and surrendered 21 walks. He will continue his academic and athletics prowess at UNLV.

Anthony Marquez a sophomore catcher has made his commitment to Chico State. Marquez displayed a solid disciplined approach in the batter box, displaying a good eye at the plate, drawing nine walks against just seven strikeouts.

Ely Stuart is going inland and has committed to UC Riverside. Stuart was hoover vacuum as an elite third baseman. Offensively he drove in 12 runs while scoring 11 times in the short 2020 season.

Luke Chung has committed to Long Beach State. Chung was a run-producer for Golden West in his brief stop in Huntington Beach. He was second on the team with 21 RBIs while also sporting a .283 batting average while playing both shortstop and second base defensively.
