Golden West enters the contest with a 3-1 overall record and is 1-0 in Central League play after last week's 28-19 victory over East Los Angeles College at home. Ralph Ekechi ran for 102 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead the Rustlers' offense in the win while the defense limited East LA to just 64 yards rushing.

Citrus had its 17-game winning streak snapped last week in a 42-21 loss to Mt. San Antonio College. Citrus, who was promoted to the National Division prior to the start of the 2023 season, is 3-1 overall and 0-1 in the Central League.

STATE RANKINGS | Golden West checks in at No. 8 in both this week's JCAB and CCCSIA state football polls. The Rustlers hold steady after they were ranked No. 8 last week. After last week's loss, Citrus fell from No. 7 to No. 12 in the JCAB rankings and from No. 8 to No. 12 in the current CCCSIA poll.

Saturday's game marks the first meeting between Golden West and Citrus since the 2015 season. The Rustlers scored 22 points in the fourth quarter to complete an amazing 29-22 comeback-win in Glendora. Quest Truxton's 74-yard punt return for a touchdown with 2:06 left proved to be the game-winner.
