Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West men's soccer (3-2-6, 2-0-2 OEC) earns their third conference win over Orange Coast (0-9-3, 0-3-1 OEC), 3-1.

The Rustlers hosted the Pirates for both teams' fourth Orange Empire Conference appearance. The home team went into the matchup undefeated against conference opponents while Orange Coast was still searching for their first win of the season. 

Golden West scored three goals to Orange Coast's one to secure the 3-1 victory and stay second in the OEC standings. In an unassisted attempt, Jesus Melgoza scored to aid the Rustlers in their pursuits. Francisco Vieira found the net twice to push Golden West past the Pirates. Though Orange Coast scored one, their efforts were not enough to comeback. With the victory, the Rustlers remained undefeated in the OEC and improved their record to 2-0-2. 

NEXT UP: The Rustlers will continue their conference schedule as the team travels to Cypress College to take on the Chargers on Tuesday, October 11th. Kickoff will be at 3pm.
