San Mateo, Calif. - Golden West College men's track thrower Blake Spencer qualifyed for both the shot put and discus in this weekends CCCAA Track and Field State Championships.

Spencer from Newport Harbor HS threw 146' 4" in the discus which was good for a fourth place finish in the state. He picked the best time of the season though in shot put to throw his season best 49'5" for a third place state podium finish.
