Huntington Beach, Calif. - The Golden West men's volleyball team swept Irvine Valley College in conference opener.  The Rustlers defeated the Lasers 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-23) to improve to 5-2 overall and 1-0 in the Orange Empire Conference.

The Rustlers were led by sophomore outside hitter Aaron Gerardi with 11 kills and freshman teammates Jack Terry and Phil Lopez had 9 and 10 kills respectively.

Golden West travels to San Diego Mesa on Friday, March 2nd (6:00pm) for their next conference match.
