Men's Volleyball Takes Down the Knights

Huntington Beach, Calif. - Rustler volleyball defeated the Knights in a 3-1 match set. Golden West (6-2, 2-0) took the first two set, but gave up the third to San Diego City College (0-8, 0-3) final match scores were (25-22, 25-19, 23-25, 25-19)

Golden West started the match strong, and held the lead through most of the sets. After defeating the Knights in the first 2 sets, the Rustlers changed up their offense and were not able to keep the lead in the third set. In the fourth set, the teams exchanged points, but it was the Rustlers night and made quick work of the last set. 

Weston Carico played all four sets, sending over 10 kills and 2 aces for the Rustlers. Carico also had a solo block along with 4 block assists on defense. Luke Pope delivered 2 aces and put up 45 assists in the 4 sets played.  Sophomore, Junior Va'akaleopa played 3 sets, finishing the match with 5 kills and a block assist.
