Huntington Beach, CA ‑ The Golden West men's volleyball team made quick work of visiting Antelope Valley College in a nonconference match on Friday.
The 25-16, 25-24 25-15 sweep that took less than two hours gave the Rustlers (1-3) their first victory of the young 2018.
Sophomore Josh Kim posted a team-high 20 kills, six digs and three digs and freshman Luke Davis (Fountain Valley High) added 10 kills with a dig and a block to lead Golden West. Freshman Enzo Boggio (Schurr High) had two kills, with a team-leading 40 assists and a dig, a block and a service ace. Freshman Mitch Fixa (Esperanza High) had five kills, three digs and a block and sophomore Constantin Tolentino recorded six kills.
The Rustlers host LA Trade Tech College at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14.
