M Water Polo: Dominates the Pirates in Regular Season Finale

Huntington Beach, Calif. - The Golden West men's water polo team wrapped up the regular season with a dominating win over visiting Orange Coast College 18-8. 

The Rustlers jumped out to a 5-2 lead in the first quarter and never looked back with Augi Macchi leading the charge with two first quarter goals. Then Barnabas Vidovics and Stan DeMay led the way in the second quarter, each netting two goals apiece for the commanding 10-3 halftime lead. 

Tack on another four goals in the third quarter for the Rustlers who had four different scorer's and a defense that didn't surrender a goal in the third quarter for a 14-3 lead. Golden West cruised in the fourth quarter to earn their fifth conference win 18-8 to close out the regular season 21-1 overall and 5-0 in Orange Empire Conference play. 

Golden West will look to win their 32nd consecutive Orange Empire Conference championship starting Thursday, November 4th, game time to be determined.
