SANTA ANA - The Dons defeated Golden West College 9-0 today in an Orange Empire Conference game as they got 13 hits on offense while holding the Rustlers to just two hits in five innings. The win lifts the Dons to 5-8 on the season and 2-1 in conference while Golden West falls to 2-10 overall and 0-4 in conference.

Teammates Melissa Aguirre and Alexis Vincent were the only Rustlers hitters able to make it to first without being picked off by the Don's defense.

Santa Ana's Victoria Franks pitched her fourth shutout of the season, giving up just two hits while striking out three batters to get the victory. Kiley Eskridge  took the loss for Golden West as she allowed six runs, four earned, on six hits in just one inning of work.
