W Basketball: Three Rustlers Move on to the Four-Year Level

Huntington Beach, Calif. – Women's basketball head coach Barry Migliorini has announced three student-athletes have committed to four-year institutions to continue their academic and athletic endeavors.

Isis Benjamin commits to St. Katherines. Benjamin was a 5'7 guard at Golden West College playing in 51 games over two seasons and earned 15 starts in her sophomore campaign. Benjamin majored in Marine Biology and carried a 3.3 GPA. Isis is the niece of former Chicago Bulls guard Cory Benjamin.

Sheridan Bivens commits to St. Katherines as well. Bivins was a 5'7 sophomore guard/wing for the Rustlers while playing in 52 games in two season and earned 18 starts in her sophomore campaign. Bivens majored in Kinesiology and carried a 3.0 GPA. The highlight of Bivins career at Golden West came against Chaffey College on February 6 when she tied a conference record with 12 three-pointers and finished the game with 36 points to lead the Rustlers back from a 21-point deficit. Bivens prepped at Westminster High in Westminster graduating in 2020. Bivens played her club ball with Westminster Shock.  

Jasmine Nickelberry commits to Stanton University. Nickelberry was a 5'10 power forward at Golden West College playing in 32 games while majoring in Kinesiology. Nickelberry prepped at Fullerton High School in Fullerton graduating in 2021. Nickelberry played her club ball with OC Rhythm.  

Jasmine is the sister of David Nickelberry who played basketball at University of Buffalo and professionally in Armenia. Jasmine's cousins Josh Nickelberry and Christyn Williams plays basketball at LaSalle and UCONN respectively.
