Huntington Beach, Calif. – Narbonne high school star Tylan "Ty" Adams has verbally committed to Golden West College.

Adams was All-CIF Division 1 Los Angeles Section, and a 2-time finalist for CAL-HI SPORTS ALL-STATE TEAM. Ty's other accolades include 2-time Marine League MVP. Ty's best performance came against Cleveland High where she put up 46 points. Ty boasts a dominating stat line of 23.6 points per game, 5.3 rebounds per game, 2.0 steals per game, and 2.2 assists per game.

Ty prepped at Narbonne High School where she was named Captain and carried the team to the CIF Semifinal game. Ty played her club ball for Triple threat and Troup West. Golden West Coach Barry Migliorini says "Ty is an exciting player. She will fit very well into the high-octane, high-scoring offense we run and gives us another weapon with speed and explosiveness".

Ty carried a 3.1 GPA through high school and earned Narbonne's Black student academic achievement award. Ty will be a Computer Science major at Golden West. Ty's grandmother and guardian Sparkle Day said "I am so proud Tylan committing to such a strong academic and athletic school. Ty is amazing and jumped so many hurdles to get to this point. Ty never gives up and we are confident Golden West is the launching pad for her academic and athletic goals." The family motto is "I can do all things with Christ who strengthens me."

Ty is the second top 100 California player in the 2023 cycle to commit to GWC joining Princess McCauley of San Jacinto Academy.
