Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West women' soccer (5-12-2, 3-9-1 OEC) shut out the Santa Ana Dons (3-15, 2-11 OEC), 3-0. 

In their second matchup of the year, the Rustlers welcomed the Dons to the GWC Soccer Complex. Golden West won the previous meeting on the road at Santa Ana, 2-0. Though a game separated the two teams in the conference standings, the home team looked to be in control throughout the matchups. 

The Rustlers scored the game's inaugural goal and did not look back. Golden West would score two more insurance goals and close out the victory, 3-0. Carmen Lopez found the net for a goal with Sarah Hegamin and Mollie Miskelly were responsible for the other two scores. Golden West swept Santa Ana in their two meetings in conference play throughout the 2023 season as the Rustlers head into their final game. 

NEXT UP: The Rustlers will host their final game of the season against the Fullerton Hornets. Kickoff will be at 3pm.
