East LA, Calif. - Golden West's Women's relay team finished champions in the 800 yard Freestyle Relay.  The woman are still in the running for the state title, as they trail the leader by just 59 points. With one day left, the standings are as follows: Orange Coast leads the women's with 300 points, followed by Diablo Valley (295), Santa Rosa (278.5), Sierra (246.5), Golden West (241) and Pasadena City (175).

 The Rustlers were not far off the state meet record (7:33.27) that was made in part by Bergesen and Vosseler in 2013. GWC's dominance in the freestyle was evident in that Santa Rosa placed second despite trailing by 18‐plus seconds (7:53.23). Sierra was third at 7:55.75.
