Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West women's volleyball (9-6, 5-5 OEC) swept the Fullerton Hornets (1-18, 0-10 OEC), 25-10, 25-14, 25-8.

Though the Rustlers managed to win a set against No. 7 Irvine Valley on Wednesday, the team responded well against the Hornets. Golden West dominated against Fullerton with a sweep victory over their conference opponent. The home team had an answer for each Hornet attack and held the visiting squad to ten points in the first, 25-10. It was much of the same for the second set as the Rustlers won, 25-14. Golden West finished the sweep as the team took command in the final set, 25-8. 

Sabrina Phinizy led the team in kills with 21, one service ace and two digs. Peyton McBride tied in most digs with ten, second in kills with eight and recorded two assists. Hayden Murray stated the most assists with 35, earned a service ace and three digs. With the victory, the Rustlers earned their fifth conference win. 

NEXT UP: The Rustlers will travel to Orange Coast to take on the Pirates on Wednesday, October 25th. The match will begin at 6pm.
