Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West beach volleyball team took to the sand in a tri-match hosting Hope International University and Ventura College. The Rustler's dropped the opening match in a close one to Hope 3-2 but rebounded with a close victory against Ventura 3-2.

Number 2 pairs Jasmine Gonzales and Akimi Fujikura (GWC) beat Beeman/Armstrong (Hope) 21-11, 16-21, 16-14.

Number 3 pairs Cherene Uale and Erica Cantley (GWC) lost Lumely/Stevenson (Hope) 21-10, 18-21, 12-15.

Number 4 pairs Keilani Pearson and Amanda Sosa (GWC) lost Haddor/Alfrez (Hope) 21-16, 11-21, 10-15.
