Huntington Beach, Calif. - It was a tough morning for the Golden West beach volleyball team as they were shutout against Orange Empire Conference foe Riverside City College 5-0. 

Three of the matches needed to go all three sets to decide a winnner unfortunately, none of those matches went the Rustlers way. Number one pairs Kiki Pearson and Holly Hennessy lost in the third set after forcing the deciding frame with a 22-20 victory in the second. 

The number three pairing of Kiona Powers and Jennifer Juarez battled it out in three sets, ultimately falling in the final set 15-10. 

NEXT: The Rustlers will travel not too far down the road to Huntington State Beach Newland Courts for a tri-conference match with Orange Coast at 11am and Santa Ana at 12pm.
