Huntington Beach, Calif. - Golden West College's beach volleyball team continued its strong season with a commanding performance on home sand, sweeping both Fullerton College and Santiago Canyon College by identical 5-0 scores in a doubleheader on April 5.

The Rustlers came out firing against the Hornets, taking every match in straight sets:

Hayden Johnston and Maren Matthews led the charge at the No. 1 spot, winning convincingly 21-7, 21-10.

At No. 2, Jenna Zaffino and Cassandra Zoellers breezed to a 21-5, 21-15 victory.

Jalissa Costa and Elyse Varipapa were dominant at No. 3, 21-8, 21-6.

Lola Larson and Fabiana Padilla kept the momentum going at No. 4, rolling to a 21-14, 21-9 win.

Johnston and Matthews earned a hard-fought win at No. 1, edging the Hawks in a three-set battle: 11-21, 21-16, 15-7.
