
Huntington Beach, Calif. - After advancing to the 2024 3C2A Super Regionals, the Golden West baseball team transferred 18 to four-year schools.
Fourteen inked with NCAA Division I schools, one signed with an NCAA Division II school, and three joined NAIA rosters.
ABCA All-America Second Team selection and OEC Pitcher of the Year RHP Alex Ramos, ABCA All-Region Second Team honoree outfielder Zech Samayoa, and infielder Dylan Lina will all head to nearby Long Beach State (Long Beach, Calif.). ABCA All-America Third Team honoree and OEC Co-Player of the Year outfielder Jack Salmon will join Hawai'i (Honolulu, Hawai'i), while first baseman Andrew Kirchner will also stay locally at Cal State Fullerton (Fullerton, Calif.). Lefty pitcher Dante Jackson, infielder Rocco Caballero, and RHP Tyler Prystajko will all remain in state, heading north to Cal State Bakersfield (Bakersfield, Calif.), San Jose State (San Jose, Calif.), and the University of San Francisco (San Francisco, Calif.), respectively.
Catcher Ayden Garcia inked with Florida Atlantic (Boca Raton, Fla.), outfielder Kaleb Duncan will become a Shocker at Wichita State (Wichita, Kan.), and UTL Nathan Beckley joins Youngstown State (Youngstown, Ohio). Right-handed pitcher JD Rodriguez is heading to Tulane (New Orleans, La.), while LHP Grant Faris signed with UNLV (Las Vegas, Nev.). Right-handed pitcher Jack Smith rounds out the DI signees, joining Central Michigan (Mt. Pleasant, Mich.)
Outfielder Dom Porter signed with nearby NCAA Division II Cal Poly Pomona (Pomona, Calif.), while RHP Braden Koch and OF Alec Castillo both will join the Hope International (Fullerton, Calif.) roster at the NAIA level. Infielder Robert Castillo will also stay in California at NAIA Bethesda (Anaheim, Calif.).
