Wilmington, Calif. – Golden West's Football team fell to 1-1 on the season as they dropped a 7-42 decision to LA Harbor.

LA Harbor scored in the 1st quarter in a 4 play drive for 40-yards, with the extra point, it put the Seahawks on the scoreboard. In the beginning of the 2nd quarter, our Rustler pass was intercepted and ran back for a 27-yard touchdown. The kick was good, so the score climbed to 0-14. The end of the quarter did not bring relief for the Rustlers, as they were scored on again with 2:01 on the clock, bringing the score to 0-21. After the half, the Seahawks scored twice, once with an 18-yard run, and the other a 25-yard run.

But the Rustlers did not loose hope. In the fourth quarter, Aaron Serrano (Reno, NV/Hug HS) caught a 44-yard pass from Chaiyse Hales (Cason, CA/Long Beach Poly) to put Golden West on the scoreboard. Peter Marquez (Costa Mesa, CA/Costa Mesa) kicked the extra point, bringing the score to 7-35. Unfortunately, the Seahawks still had more scoring to do, with a 2-yard run and an extra point bringing the final game score to 7-42.

Golden West's next game will be at home against Allan Hancock. Kick off is at 6:00pm at LeBard Stadium (Costa Mesa, CA).
