GWC Defeats LA Harbor 48-22

Though the Rustler football program finished the 2014 regular season campaign with another top 5 in southern California ranking, they were humbled in their bowl game vs Long Beach City College. Saturday night the Rustlers seemed to have not missed a beat to their regular season traveling to Los Angeles Harbor College and coming away with a 48-22 victory.

With freshmen all around, the Rustler offense was led by freshman QB Adam Vance (19-33 266 yds 3 TDs 1 INT),  and freshman RB Josh Vizcaya (22 for 104 yds 2 TDs).  All conference WR Quest Truxton, slowed all fall camp due to injuries, was the third leading receiver (4 rec for 55 yds) while newcomers TE Daryl Estem (5 rec for 70 yds) and WR Jordan Veasy (5 rec for 86 yds 2 TDs) all contributed to over 450 yards of  total offense. 

Defensively, the Rustlers were led by OLB Phil Hong with 10 tackles, 3 PBU's, 2 tackles for loss and 1 interception that he returned for a touchdown. Freshman CB Kory Garcia also returned an interception for 73 yards only to get tackled the one yard line. Sophomore safety Johnny Johnson led the team with 12 tackles and 2 interceptions.

Bakersfield College, who won the 2012 state championship, comes to LeBard this Saturday for a 7pm game.
