Football's Offense Struggles, Loses to Chaffey 24-16

Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. -  Golden West (1-2) drops its second consecutive game against a National Central League opponent, Chaffey College (1-2) Saturday night 24-16.

Despite the loss, quarterback Adam Carr had a rebound performance from last week going 24-37 with 212 yards and 2 touchdown passes. Wide Receiver Sheldon White was Carr's favorite target of night connecting eight times for a team high 92 yards and one touchdown. Wide out Kahari Kilgore hauled in Carr's second passing touchdown of the night on a 10 yard reception to bring the Rustlers within striking distance at 21-16. Unfortunately, that would be the last score of the game for Golden West as their last scoring opportunity ran out of gas on Chaffey's 40 yard line.

Defensively, the Rustlers held Chaffey to 80 yards rushing and under 200 yards passing. The front seven put pressure on Chaffey's quarterback Cameron Coleman, sacking him twice, and the secondary intercepting Coleman on Chaffey's opening drive.

NEXT: Golden West will host Cerritos College at LeBard Stadium on the campus of Orange Coast College at 6PM.
