Huntington Beach, Calif. - The Rustlers (8-8-2, 4-5-2) came out strong as they hosted Orange Coast (9-4-2, 8-2-1), but ended on the wrong side of a 1-0 score line.

The game was high energy from the start with both teams desperately needing to win points in the league. The Rustlers' offensive kept the pressure on the Pirates, recording a total of 19 shots on the day. However, both teams' defense were resolute, working for the full 90 minutes to keep a clean sheet. Both were successful until the 85th minute when a throw-in deflected off of some bodies in the box and then bounced off the leg of an OCC attacker to redirect the ball just past the outstretched fingers of the GWC goalkeeper.

Although they were unable to find the back of the net, the Rustlers poured in the pressure in the final 5 minutes with several attempts at goal. The Rustlers look to return to winning ways on Friday, November 8th at Irvine Valley College.
