Huntington Beach, Calif. - Despite shooting the ball off the goal posts numerous times throughout the match, the Golden West (9-3-2, 5-2-1) offense stayed aggressive and beat Cypress College (5-8-2, 2-6) 2-0 in Orange Empire Conference play. 

Omar Morales was able to get the Rustlers offense some confidence when he netted a goal off an assist from Ernesto Sanchez in the 47th minute to take the lead 1-0 into halftime. The second half started just as frustrating for the Rustler offense as the first half did with near misses just wide or high. It wasn't until late in the second half when Luis Juarez netted a goal off another assist from Sanchez in the 85th minute to tac on an insurance goal and extend the lead 2-0. 

Luis Sosa earned his fifth shutout victory and second in row as he saved all three attempts against him.
