Huntington Beach, Calif. - Freshman center-mid Alan Samano netted his first goal of the season to lead the Rustlers to victory 1-0. 

Golden West (4-1-2, 2-0) hosted Norco College (4-1-1, 1-1) in Orange Empire Conference play on Tuesday afternoon and handed the mustangs their first loss of the season. The Rustlers controlled much of the tempo on offense firing 11 shots with 4 on goal, while netting the only goal of the match. Samano scored his first goal of the season just before halftime in the 43rd minute off an assist from Kevin Everastico. 

The defense continues to play at a high level while limiting the amount of shots and shots on goal. Goalkeeper Misha Marson recorded one save in 90 minutes bewteen the pipes. 

NEXT: Golden West will travel to Orange Coast College on Friday, September 21st for a 3pm kickoff.
