Huntington Beach, Calif. - In a physical matchup in the opening round of the 2021 CCCAA soccer playoffs, Golden West outlasts Santa Barbara City College 1-0 in overtime to advance. 

It was the Rustlers top goal scorer, Ricky Briseno who found the back of the net on a header from Anthony Garcia in the 104th minute. The Rustlers had plenty of opportunities at the goal but only cashed in on the lone goal in the afternoon game. 

Goalkeepers Benjamin Grismann and Luis Adrian-Covarrubias combined for the shutout victory to help advance the Rustlers to the second round. Golden West will host Fullerton College in the second round with a 2pm kickoff.
