
Costa Mesa, Calif. - Golden West Men's swim team finished first place in 10 out of 11 events on Friday, dominating the 2012 OEC conference champions, Orange Coast College.
In the 400 yard medley, Daniel Roa, Josh Morgan, Casey Klipsich and Fletcher Norseen finished first in 3:38.48. Golden West also took 3rd place with Garret Pickford, Sean Grab, Tommy Grall and Hayden Paul finishing in 4:04.27.
Ian Wheeler took the top spot in the 1,000 yard freestyle, finishing in 9:53.64. Juan Felipe finished in second place with a time of 10:43.23.
Ari Marks finished the 100 yard freestyle in first place (47.81), and teammate Dylan Alba touched the wall third in a time of 48.98.
The Rustlers took first, second and third in the 50 yard freestyle. First, with a time of 22.15 was Dylan Alba, second Fletcher Norseen 22.18, Marks took third with time of 22.48.
Daneil Roa took first in the 200 yard ind. medley 1:58.91, as well as, the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:01.41. In addition to winning the 1,000 Free, Sophmore Ian Wheeler also took first in the 200 yard butterfly (2:03.63) and the 500 yard freestyle (4:52.80).
Josh Morgan took first in the 200 yard breaststroke (2:21.09)
The 400 free relay was won by Norseen, Ari Marks, Jack Blake and David Jorth with a time of 3:13.13
