Men's Swimming Leads in Day 1 of OEC Championship

Huntington Beach, Calif. - Today completes the first match ups in the Orange Empire Conference Championships for swimming. Hosted at Golden West, the teams took to the lanes to vie for the top spot that would take them to the State finals. 

Golden West jumped out in an early lead claiming first place in all but one event today. Taking the 200 Free Relay in a quick 1:23.35 Golden West started the meet strong. Ian Wheeler then cleared the field as he took home the hardware for the 500 Free with a time of 4:35.91.

Daniel Roa took first place in the 200IM with a time of 1:53.07, and it was Golden West's Fletcher Norseen who took this year's title as the conference's fastest man in the 50 Free with a time of 20.54.
